  The Wednesday night (Beer Can) races are a low-key, intramural club racing series for anyone interested in sailboat racing.  There will be both a Jib and Main (JAM) and spinnaker section.  The first start is at 7:00 pm and most races will be completed by 9:00pm. Be sure to grab a meal in the galley before heading out to race.  This year, the Sea Scouts will be managing the galley service and the proceeds will go to their activities.  We will announce the results as soon as possible after the race.   Drive up or take your boat.

  Come for a day or stay all weekend.

  There is so much to do in conjunction with the race.

  Arrive Friday evening in St. Joseph, Michigan. Settle in, reconnect, and raise a glass to the start of an exciting weekend.

  Saturday – Relax, Explore, Celebrate

  Ease into the day with brunch, browse the local farmers market, soak up the sun at the pool, or enjoy the beautiful SJRYC grounds. The boaters will raft off at the yacht club and on the wall adjacent to the farmers market and downtown St. Joe. Get a chance to network with boaters from around the lake.
  
  That evening, join us for a memorable Awards Dinner as we celebrate the day’s stories and achievements. The party is on after the awards with the WYSIWYG Band!

  Sunday – Race & Rally

  Racers take off toward Chicago or Michigan City, while drivers enjoy scenic brunch stops through Harbor Country, arriving in Michigan City by evening.
  We’ll cap off the day with a lively dinner, party and live music — a perfect blend of land and sea.

  Monday – Farewell Cruise

  The weekend wraps up as racers return to Chicago, full of memories from a weekend of great sailing, great company, and unbeatable lakefront energy. Pot luck supper at the club.

  Whether you’re racing, spectating, or simply along for the ride — Tri-State Race Weekend is the place to be.
