The Race Committee in sailing is responsible for managing the races, ensuring fairness, safety, and a fun experience for all participants. This includes setting the race course, starting and finishing the races, adjusting the course as needed, and ensuring the safety of the competitors and the Race Committee itself. They also record finish times, potentially abandon races due to weather, and handle protests.
